Sneakylong Also, Ohio State quarterbacks haven't had much success in the NFL.
It can be difficult to properly evaluate a college player (and a QB in particular) when they're on a team wholly made up of guys who will make NFL rosters against opponents that may have a couple of guys who'll end up in the pro game. That's very much the case for Fields - for example, the receivers he had to throw to may well be better than any receiving corps in the NFL (Chris Olave, Garrett Wilson, Jameson Williams, Jaxon Smith-Njigba).
Sneakylong Caleb Williams looks to be a can't miss in the NFL.
He has been non-committal about entering the NFL draft in 2024 though.
It wouldn't surprise me if Williams tries to pull an Elway/Eli Manning, and refuse to play for the team picking first overall if it's the wrong team (and Chicago would definitely qualify...) I don't have anything to back this up, though - just a feeling I have.
There's also the possiblity that Williams plays another year with USC, particularly as there's not the same financial penalty for staying in college now that NIL money is available.
