professor Only saw bits and pieces of it. I'll take your word for it since you did watch him a lot last year.
I followed him thoroughly in college and predicted that he could be the best QB ever if he could overcome his only two weaknesses. One was lack of accuracy on short passes (which he's improved), and the other was/is a tendency to pull the ball and run if coverage gave the appearance of being good. The second one was completely exposed when Tua came in and had no problem finding the one-on-one coverage on almost every play with the same receivers and offense. In the amount of Eagles coverage I've seen, I haven't seen much movement on the 2nd one. Of course, it still looks good given that he is one of the best running QBs there is and ever was, but in the NFL that is a dangerous trait. Other QBs (which can't or couldn't pass as accurately as Jalen) have a history of an accumulation of injuries over a short period of years that blunted their abilities. The closest comparison I can make is Cam Newton, who had a fine career but couldn't bring home the prize in the NFL. The problem with the running is the player becomes the entire focus of the defense and gets banged around almost as much as a running back.
