Eagles trade for D'andre Swift! The kid's coming back to his hometown and is now another member of Georgia/SEC North! Damn nice re-load for the Birds!

garyt1957 But Hooker is not playing over Goff for the next two years at least.

You definitely know better than I do, but I have difficulty understanding their draft strategy if that is the case. I don’t view Hooker and Gibbs as backup players in traditional sense. I wonder if some wild rotational scheme (play everyone) is in the works?

Lions have absolutely no back up QB for years. If Goff gets hurt, it's season over. So drafting Hooker makes sense. He can learn and maybe replace goff in two years when his contract is up and he wants $50 million a year which will likely be the going price then. If not maybe he can at least be a quality backup. Supposedly Lions are looking at Bridgewater for a backup this year as Hooker is hurt and can't play right away anyway.
As for Gibbs , most teams use RB by committee now anyway. Odd though that the Lions spent $6mil on Montgomery in free agency. I trust the GM though till we see otherwise.

professor Terrible draft pick! Not the player; that they drafted a RB with that high a pick.

Agree, they are dime a dozen and only have about a 4-5 year prime.

For a first year GM and head coach my Cards did rather well this weekend.

Flipped back and forth between the draft and the Mexico Open. Great tournament with Tony Finau leading by 2 going into tomorrow over Johnny Rahm and a young phenom Akshay Bhatia.

Anyway, it seemed every time I went back to the draft the Patriots had a pick. They’re going to need them. This is the first time in like forever where they’ll be the definitive underdog and probably battling for 4th in their division.

It’s ok we’ve had a lifetime of memories thanks to one guy. 😉

One of the ESPN channels has "On the Clock", 30 minute looks at some NFL prospects with Hooker and Levi's coming up.

Yeah, watching it now with the Manning QB camp. Archie, Peyton and Eli with the top QB prospects. Watching Hendon Hooker right now at Tennessee with Peyton. Will Levis, Bryce Young and Anthony Richardson to follow. Very cool.

Very telling that Will Levis first question was about how to market himself.🙄 Peyton gave him some good advice, basically concentrate on football first.

Peyton was diplomatic in his answer though saying he's done plenty of commercials, but it was once he’d made it as a top QB in the NFL.

This is kinda out of the blue.

[unknown] Report further states it was the Commanders.

Jim Brown was the best running back I ever saw. He also was one of the outspoken group of black pro athletes of his time. Like Bill Russell and other black athletes that used their platforms for racial equality.

Love the story where he’s shooting The Dirty Dozen in London. Art Model (owner of the Browns) ordered him to come back for pre season drills. Brown said, nope think I’ll retire.

One of the greatest NFL players. One of the greatest lacrosse players (Syracuse). Activist. Hollywood actor. Quite a legacy.

Jim Brown was inducted into the Lacrosse Hall Of Fame in 1983. He said he'd play Lacrosse 6 days a week and Football on the 7th. That's how much he loved Lacrosse. He also loved the origins of the game (Native Americans).

Okay, it’s not woke but how about…
        the Special Prosecutors?

        Huh?
        Huh?

With all the money already spent, just get hold of the Texas Rangers and buy the Senators name.
