Hence the true issue. An infraction that goes uncalled the overwhelming majority of the time and then it gets called during a critical point in the game.

This is the main issue and gives the illusion that the refs are picking/choosing what to call, when to call it and on whom to call it on.

Very very similar play on a 3rd and 2 during last seasons SB with Bengals / Rams. The Bengals stop the Rams on the 3rd and 2 with about 2 minutes left in the game with Bengals in the lead. Instead of the Rams having a 4th and 2, they get a fresh set of downs and score the game winner.

In regards to the Eric Bieniemy discussion.

Could it be as simple as Andy Reid gets all the credit given everyone associated with the NFL knows that the Chiefs are running Andy Reid’s offense tailored to Mahomes and Andy Reid is know to be the play caller of the KC Chiefs?

Him leaving the Chiefs and having success will help him get over this hump. Him leaving the Chiefs and not having success is what many of these organizations are afraid of.

That being, Andy Reid is in fact the true offensive coordinator of the KC Chiefs despite Eric Bieniemy having that title.

Hey, we are happy to have him, I think. Scott Turner was already doing a pretty good job, in my estimation.
Think about it. Prior to the Superbowl, the Commanders were the only team to take down the Eagles when they had their quarterback. And we did it at their house, no less. Turner's offensive game plan and play calling were a large part of the reason we won.
I hope Bienemy is just as good or better.

I just can't put it out of my head that a team like KC would not try to retain someone like that, unless there is a hole/flaw somewhere. If he is that good, he should have been offered a new contract before the season ended. Maybe was, maybe wasn't.
This will no doubt move Nagy up a notch. Not sure if that is good or bad, but apparently, he already had a part in the offense and Reid did the calls. Wondering how much input Eric actually had & could be the reason he wants out.
Just a thought.

rsvman2. Well, he's an OC who doesn't call the plays and when he interviews for HC jobs never seems to have a plan. I guess this move will show if he really has what it takes.

The problem with going to the Commanders is the 20+ year trend of it being a very temporary move. Snyder's toxic environment makes life difficult for coaches. Maybe/hopefully he'll sell.

sdandrea1 As long as they don't lose their defensive and skill players, they wont start 0-6. Hard to lose six games in a row with that D.
