UnholyDefenestrator78 rsvman2 The way the current rules are set up, allowing the OC and OG to get lined up and set SO low that literally any DL engaging them is "coming over the top of a helpless player" (not an official rule per se but you see DL avoid doing it because it will get flagged as unncessary roughness if the OC or OG gets hurt) ..... while preventing high head shots on the QB , and allowing the QB to be pushed forward from behind by a RB basically makes it unstoppable until the RB runs out of room by running into the OL. It's a surefire 3 yards unless the snap is botched , or the DL gets away with a penalty.

professor Eguller BS holding call. 🙄 Moot - irrelevant. Eagles had far more egregious errors. It was holding, yes. Should it have been called there/then (when we all know there's holding on every play)? Maybe not but, it wasn't the difference-maker.

Are the refs supposed to suspend the rules at a certain time in the game and "just let them play?" You hear that in almost all the games. If the guy committed the foul he committed the foul. The penalty should be called if the ref sees it. The ones that I can't stand is when an obvious foul is committed and the ref, who had to have seen it, doesn't call it.
