Never got the good ol regular flu shot. Wondering if the C19 shot (moderna) gives me any level of protection against the regular flu?
None that I'm aware of ... but Moderna announced last Thursday that they are developing a single vaccine that combines a booster dose against COVID-19 with its experimental flu shot.
Stu1961 interesting, thx.
I just went ahead and got a flu shot couple days ago. Always get one and no reactions and insurance pays for it. Also got shingles shot last year.
Flu shot is a separate shot altogether. My wife got one the other day. I’m waiting until I have time to feel like shit for a day after getting one.
I got mine on Friday. No apparent side effects. I've never had any from the flu shot. I did have some from the second Covid shot.
Only side effects I have ever had from a flu shot is a slightly sore arm for a day.
It will not provide any protection against flu at all. But masks, hand washing, and social distancing provider some protection.
rsvman2 As does remaining in your bathroom 24/7
You’re lucky. I get flu like symptoms later in the day… body aches, sweat /chills.
What's this flu thang that you speak of?? 🤨
Exactly, the flu had been all but eliminated from society- why bother with the vaccine?
LBlack14 Flu is so last, last year, it is nothing now, way out of style.
