This match-up should make for an excellent/entertaining final. Leylah's fought her way through the by-far-harder side of the draw defeating 3 of the top 5 ranked players, while Emma's been dominant, not losing a set, or even needing to play a tie-breaker. Completely different styles of play too. Leylah's a human backboard, frustrating her opponents, making them either hit extra shots to win points or try to hit bigger shots causing errors. While Emma is more aggressive (many more winners than unforced errors) and decimates her opponents second serves.
Surprisingly, they have only played each other once previously, and that was in junior tennis, back at the 2018 Wimbledon girls' event, with Raducanu winning 6-2, 6-4.
