Grips! OMG!

Had some time to kill on my way to the chiropractor so I stopped at Golf Galaxy to pick up a couple grips. Last time I was there their inventory was almost non existent. This time they were loaded, but the prices! Those GP2 grips that I paid $8.49 for last year were now $13.49 ! For one lousy grip. The cheapest grip I could find was some flimsy thing I wouldn't even use for $7.99. Holy Inflation, Batman! Their were some rubber wrap grips I bought earlier in the year for $5.49 online were $10.49. That's quite the jump. Back to searching online.

garyt1957 Karma grips have come a long way with their products; I have a ton of them.
DTG also has some 360 grips, very, very, similar to the Karma, that are even better, imo, and just dirt cheap(price only). I've been strictly a Lamkin user forever, but no more of that price hiking bs for me.

garyt1957 A similar feeling grip would be the Lamkin Sonar Tour+. Value Golf and DTG both have them. Still over $9, but if it's the feel you want/need, imo, they are very close to the CP2(which I hated).

I use Karma grips. Very good quality and can get them relatively cheap on Amazon. Although not as cheap as the above post in Canada

Walterjn Same. I wouldn't use them if they felt any different. Had some prior, but they felt a bit 'slick', even new, but the new ones are much improved. The DTG are just a little better yet. Their neon grips are nice also, if you like wildass colors, and going blind.

I see even Pure grips have gone up.
But Star grips (super long lasting) can still be had in the $7-8 range.

Surprisingly, Winn grips are now some of the cheapest. I just ordered some for $7.50.

I can remember when Golf Pride tour velvet grips were $1.99 each.

Thirteen good-quality grips should not cost more than a good-quality car tire. In my opinion anyway.

Grips are a financial nightmare. Lamkin grips used to be a little less expensive than similarly designed Gold Pride stuff but not anymore. I picked up a super stroke S-tech at Dicks for $6 to try out about 3 weeks ago. It feels a lot like a crossline. I recently picked up some midsized Royal linktech grips from GW under their buy _ get _ deal and I'm pretty happy with those. I actually just ordered another batch. Every 2 to 3 rounds I scrub the grips on my gamers and if they are in good shape at the end of the season I'll scrub them and shrink wrap the irons and wedges together. Keep your grips in a plastic sealed shoe box container and they will stay fresh. Hints from Heloise.

I go with the DTG velvet grips on most of my builds. Great quality and price. I have also been using a set of Champkey grips I got on Amazon for the last year on my gamers. They were under $3 each and are pretty decent. No complaints after a year and 30+ rounds of use.

Mattyv Just bought some, less than $3 a grip. I can use them for trials, if nothing else.

Don’t know if y’all like tacky grips, but the TackiMac IT2 is a really good grip. They’re lightweight at 44g, but man they stay tacky and can be had for less than $5.50 each and even cheaper when GW has a 9+4 deal.
