Father/Son Challenge

Watched a bit of the Father/Son(Daughter) Challenge this afternoon. John Daly is partnering with his 13 year old son "Little" John. What a hoot. Little John is wearing Loud Mouth shorts matching dad's pants. The little guy has game. 😎

Couldn't help but smile every time I saw Little John. Amazing the similar mannerisms.

Little John looks like he's got a bright future ahead of him. Saw several of his shots during the telecast and the kid has some pretty good action on the ball, especially for a 13-yr-old kid. He certainly didn't look nervous at any time that I watched him swing.

As one of the commentators said I love to watch Little John he has game. He looked like he belonged on the course with all the Dads. My wife always loved to watch this particular tournament. I think it reminded her of her Mom and Dad when they played with her growing up. Both parents were Club Champs and both had game.

Big John sends Little John to the Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy here in Florida (Clermont). I wouldn't be surprised to see Little John on Tour in a few years. All the Pro's 'kids' seem to be very good players. It's an enjoyable tournament to watch.

A minor neg for me is watching Ray Floyd kiss his grown boys on the lips after the round. I would think a hand shake or pat on the back would suffice.

The kid can definitely play! They are only a couple shots back, and not all due to Big John.

Looks like Duval and his stepson won the Father-Son event. And from what I watched of his stepson, he's not exactly a slouch amateur player in his own right.

Nice that Duval can claim some means of enjoyment after all that he's been through, and the $200k doesn't go unappreciated with Christmas coming up, I'm sure.
