For me it depends on the shaft and settings.
In general, Max (10.5* head turned down -1* and 130s installed) is a little higher compared to SZ. It’s long in the air, hits and runs only a little most of the time and is the more forgiving of the two but ….. I’ve not really had any issue with forgiveness with SZ.
SZ (9* head turned up +2). More boring ball flight. Gets in the air and runs out further than the max. More muted feel as well. Total distance favors the SZ. Playing in the wind favors the SZ and I keep it in play just fine when set at +2 and heavy weight back.
I honestly didn’t notice much change in height when reducing the SZ loft but absolutely did see bigger misses. I’ve not messed with adjusting the heavy weight forward.
I can’t say for certain as I’ve not been on a monitor but ….. I believe both carry and total distance favor the SZ even with the Rogue White installed in the MAX head.
I only recently returned to testing of the MAX 10.5* (turned -1* down) and only with the more stout 130s rogue (white) shaft. For me, It’s definitely longer than the MAX with my other shaft combinations. As a matter of fact, the MAX wouldn’t be a consideration for me with any of my other shafts. Only the 130s white brings the spin down to the point I’d consider it as my gamer. Obviously that’s an issue specific to me snd my swing and may not apply to others.
I’ve mostly played SZ with the 1” short Recoil shaft. It is just an easy combo for me to swing.
I’ve begun testing the 130s Rogue white in the SZ as well. Thus far, Recoil easier to draw, Rogue white tends to fade. No significant issues keeping it in play. I’m not sure if one shaft is getting me more distance than the other.
Lastly, I’ve hit the sons new Epic Speed (MMT) and my brother in laws new LS Max (rogue 130s white). Both 9* and hit both in stock configuration. Limited swings all on course on both so not enough to compare to the Mavrik’s but I could play any of them.
I’ve got an LS Max on order by way of the Callaway contest (ty Jon Rahm and Callaway ) but it’s back ordered until Jan 2022.
