Subsonic sdandrea1 I gave it the Subsonic thorough review and have to say it is a nice stick for a c note.
MartinD The Cleveland milled putters are an option worth considering at the lower end of the price scale - have had a couple of these (and am currently using one of the Huntingdon Beach models), and they're very solid clubs.

I have a Cleveland Huntington Beach putter. Great putter but it's a little soft for the greens I play making you have to hit it too hard to get to the hole so I don't use it. I'll pull it out if I know the greens will be fast. Great putter for the money, though
colej pellmell Steve Stricker is considered a helluva putter and he is opposite, toe is down, heel lifted.
scotts33 colej Steve Stricker is considered a helluva putter and he is opposite, toe is down, heel lifted. That's because of Jerry Korte. One of the best putting coaches all time. Now gone. Jerry was a great guy!
colej scotts33 I listened to a podcast with Strick on it and he talked about his putter. He tried a putter that sat flat and he couldn’t make it work.

Toe down heel up creates more of a back and thru swing learned from Jerry Korte. Heel down toe up creates more arc. There are arc's in both putter swings because of the human anatomy just less with toe down/heel up.

wishbone Really fast greens I'll break out an old Arnold Palmer blade. Hit it towards the toe really deadens the speed it comes off at.
Stu1961 wishbone I’ve heard that advice going back over 40 years … and never understood it. Why not just not hit it so hard? Wouldn’t hitting it toward the toe cause a push stroke (especially with the old blade putters)? I’m not saying it doesn’t work … I just fail to see the logic behind it.
sdandrea1 Stu1961 I’m not saying it doesn’t work … I just fail to see the logic behind it. Amen. I'm better off center-striking it softer than toe-striking it.
wishbone It allows me to make a more normal stroke as opposed to trying to hit it softly, I tend to de-accelerate when I do so. Keeping my wrist very firm avoids the twisting to create a push To each their own, though
braveheart wishbone Exactly, a full stroke can be done, so deceleration does not appear and you come up short.
