I submitted in the Callaway driver PGA contest and won a 2021 Callaway Epic driver by picking Rahm.

No what do I choose. Previous driver . TM M4 9.5* turned to the higher setting with. Atmos Stiff shaft. Great driver

Tried Callaway Mavrik Max on 10.5* head. Very forgiving but didn’t go anywhere for me. I wasn’t swinging well at the time but …..

Tried a TM SIM Max in 9* ventus stiff. Also put my atmos in there. No go. Fade bias even though it was a max head.

Traded it for a mavrik Sub Zero 9*. Moved heavy weight to the back. Playing it in +2 and draw setting. Love this thing. Longest driver I’ve ever played and it’s forgiving enough for me.

Sooo….. epic speed, epic LS max or epic max?

Cwing Just an FYI, they may not send you a driver. Did they tell you they would; give you choices?

My niece also won. She received a check for $529. BUT, she did buy a driver; they merely reimbursed her for it.

Odd, as I was under the impression you had to buy in order to enter.

Negative. Gots to read the fine print. No purchase necessary to win. Most contests in the US must have a no purchase necessary method of entry. It’s usually buried deep in the fine print. To answer your question, I submitted by mail in through the no purchase required process.

Those that bought a driver get a gift card/reimbursed, etc. Those that submitted by the no purchase mail in method get to pick a epic 2021 driver. I received my confirmation today.

Cwing Damn attorneys must write the rules!

I just sold an Epic Max LS today. Very nice head. BUT, like you, I have kept the Mavrik SZ, which is better. If it were me, I'd take the Speed.

      And...Congrats!! That's a big win.

Likely going to go speed…… but, any others out there that can compare/comment?

Hitting an Epic Flash, the predecessor to the Speed ('cos I'm a cheapskate), Project X EvenFlow Green R flex 55grams. It's a 10.5 dialled down 1 and I've set it to draw bias. It hits straight or slight fade for me (haven't moved the sole weight yet - forgot I could!), and is longer than my previous setup (Razr Fit with Axivcore Tour Green R flex, 65grams. Very forgiving on off centre hits (heel, toe and low ... haven't managed a high face hit yet!). Can't find fault with it at all. I'm not sure which of the Speed line it matches up to though ... try this review and compare it to reviews for 2021 models maybe?

I'd certainly consider the LS Max if I were you from what you said you've liked before. Anywhere you can demo?

Par4QC Damn man, do you buy every new driver that comes out? Max LS and Mavrik here, Cobra Rad Speed in another thread. I believe a Sim in another. Do you have an in somewhere that you get a deal on them? Sure wish I was your neighbor

Think of all the new gear you could possibly try if you were his regular golf partner 😂

            garyt1957 😄😉

Still got the Mavrik SZ, it is killer of all others right now. Got the Rad Speed, but is advertised for sale(really hate to sell it though). G30 is still here but also up for sale. Sim is sold. XHot is sold. Have a Mavrik Max Tour Spec now on the way. 😲 Got a brand new DB455 last week and it is still as long as these heads. (I use the same shafts in every head/same lengths/same flex.)

The Max LS is a great head, and I probably should have kept it for more rounds. The Callaway heads all just bore right through any headwinds, never losing yardage....Epic Flash, Mavrik, Max LS.(so far)

I don't have a club where I can take demos out, so I just buy/try/sell. Right now, the market doesn't allow you to lose a lot off a resale. Fun times.

Not many demo days as of yet.

Went to my go to shop today. They initially suggested I go LS based on the SZ I have. That stated, the more we talked the more unsure he became and suggested I set up a demo in their shop.

Yeah see, I am loving this Mavrik SZ. As mentioned, it’s 9* turned up +2, set to draw with heavy weight back and I’ve got a 1” short Recoil stiff shaft out if a Callaway Fusion head. Thus far, I prefer the recoil as it’s just easier to turn over than the other two Callaway shafts I have. That stated, it is the shortest, no by much, of the three.

When you consider the settings, heavy weight back and the recoil profile, some of these factors may be offsetting the Sub Zero part of the SZ head. I’m not sure if I’ll simply take a chance and pick Speed or LS Max or take his advice and go through a fitting prior to ordering.
