Good morning. This is Wendell from Iowa and it's been a while since I have posted, in fact I haven't posted much at all since the old FGI days, but I like lurking in the background and reading everyone's posts.
Question(s) of the day: I, like a lot of you, am on the wrong side of 50 and my vision isn't worth a crap. I have all kinds of issues following my ball flight and usually lose sight of the ball shortly before it lands. I think the neon yellow golf balls are probably the easiest to follow and find, but does anyone have any better luck with a different color of golf ball?
My 2nd question is about wearing contacts vs. eye glasses while you play. 99.9% of the time I wear my contacts while playing golf, but with allergy season, I find it getting more difficult wear my contacts. A very long time ago, I would wear my glasses while playing, but I always seemed to struggle with my eyes looking below the bottom of my lenses when I addressed the golf ball in essence causing a focus issue, so I switched over to playing only in my contacts. Does the majority of people wear glasses or contacts while playing (if they need correct lenses to see)?
What about Bifocals? Within the last year, I have started wearing bifocals at work to help read and work on the computer. I can't even imagine wearing bifocals to golf? Does anyone play golf in Bifocals?
I have an older pair of glasses without bifocals and I'm considering trying to play a few rounds wearing them instead of my contacts, but I'm really worried about my depth perception being completely screwed up....
I'm interested to hear everyone's thoughts on the subject of glasses vs contacts on the golf course.
Thanks,
Wendell
