91 and sunny. Feel fortunate for July to have low 90s. I am feeling it though because I’m out in it mowing. Finished half, came in to cool off and hydrate. Be back out there in five minutes to finish it.

Par4QC That's a serious two day drought they have forecasted for the weekend. 😁 We've actually caught a break at my house. There have been some heavy thunderstorms around the area and out church was drenched Sunday morning, but at the house it's been about 4 days since the last rain. Seven day forecast shows a 30% - 40% for each day.

johnnydoom Heat + humidity always equals chance of rain/storms here all summer. It keeps me tied to the area as I have a sump pump, and no one to babysit it when storms are here. Last 2 years something has gone wrong underground and more water comes in faster than it used to. So if I'm 300 miles away, I may be wiped out if power goes out.

Same here as to 'where' it rains. Large area to cover and the forecast goes for 'viewing' area, which is 100+/- miles. A lot does stay South, but lately we are getting it coming from NW, for odd reasons.
It can & will rain(snow in winter) like hell just across the river sometimes, but we are sunny/dry. Only a couple miles.

I'll not be missing any 'mowing' days. Bet my ass on that!!

In the low 90's and humid here. Supposed to feel like 100 and it probably does. Wife needs AC at 68* of course because everything she does has to cost me a lot of $$. League tonight should be swel...tering. 😓

Par4QC Have you considered a backup pump? We have a water powered one so as long as there is water pressure we're good. And no batteries to worry about.

There is something this year that makes it rain every Saturday and t-storm every Tuesday afternoon. Some sort of weather control and it has to be my wife because no one else would care about my golf days.

Typhoon I can't even skip 4 days, so far. Ridiculous. If I would try, the yard would be all white from clover now; earlier it would have been all yellow from dandelions. I'm not spending any more money trying to eliminate either. There is a huge open field/building space just around the block to my SW. They mow maybe once a month and it creates hell with dust and weed pollen in the neighborhood. A lot of people on my block get treatments every few weeks. I'm poor. So I have to mow often. Great legs though for a 73 yr. old. 😄

Par4QC I'm ten years younger, and unfortunately mowing is the only consistent exercise I get. I figured if I survived mowing in the middle of the afternoon last Sunday then my heart must be in reasonable condition.

Par4QC I'm not spending any more money trying to eliminate either.

If it grows in my yard, it gets to stay. After I mow, it all blends nicely. Clover, chickweed, spurge, crabgrass, wire grass......it all hides among the fescue.
