The day we left Haverhill MA (for Florida) in August 2002 the bank sign showed a temperature of 106. Last year Tampa hit 100 for the first time since record keeping.
Yesterday at my house here in New Port Richey FL. we hit a high of 90.
People think Florida is uninhabitable in the summer. Nope. We don’t hit extreme hot temperatures like other parts of the country. We’re just hot and humid for ~ 4 - 5 months.
