Our street has a group of us who look into and after the old folks like this case who cant do it for themselves. It's a quiet , relatively small cul de sac with only about 24 houses so we check in and make sure they don't need anything . I went up after the 2nd FB game and shovelled the drive for one old couple . They are 80 so getting up there and he had heart surgery a year ago. The next two houses /neighbours on my left are both widows and both 90+, a fellow down the street is 104 and still lives on his own, another , much younger than me friend helps him out when needed
Our town introduced a service this year where they provide free snow clearing for those who are too old or incapable of doing it themselves. It was limited to 1000 homes iirc and filled up in an hour.
Always good to check in on and help those who cant help themselves when these big storms hit
