golf_bhoy my nerve blocker lasted 12 hours post-op

They told me it would last about 48 hrs. and that was pretty close. Mine ran out at about 49-50 hrs. my daughter in law who is CEO of a hospital in Iowa was here over the weekend and told me that she thought they have nerve blockers that can go up to 72 hrs. You are correct that you can tell when they run out. I had a rapid increase in pain when it ran out. I'm taking 3-4 hydrocodone per day now when I was normally taking one per day while the blocker was working. The nurses at the hospital where I had my shoulder surgery told me the pain blockers were designed to eliminate about half of the pain. I had my first post op therapy session yesterday and it was interesting. It actually felt good to be able to stretch my arm out straight again. I'm sure more pain will be involved in the coming weeks sessions. Yesterday wasn't bad at all.

Might be a bit early for this advice, but when I started to golf again I used an old set of Callaway (X14s I think) with graphite shafts, a Jon Rahm backswing and Tommy Fleetwood follow through. Built up to a full swing just in time for Covid lockdown closing the course for 10 weeks 🤣
