garyt1957 So what's a reasonably priced driver shaft that's a little more stable? Maybe a stiffer tip but not rebar? I was looking at UST Elements Earth shaft, actually bought one but had to send it back because the tip didn't fit. May try again but don't want the hassle of another return.
LogicalOne garyt1957 I would agree with @Typhoon , but Iām not sure what @Par4QC has left. Nothing heard but good things about the HOF shafts and how stable they are. I have multiple drivers and fairway woods shafted up with HOF shafts....just waiting to get healthy enough to play them!
colej garyt1957 For the price the Maltby pro series is pretty hard to beat. this is great option and not too pricey. Tip is just a bit softer than the other shafts in the line up. https://xcalibershafts.com/collections/wood-golf-shafts/products/classic-rtl6-wood
garyt1957 Was hoping to find something on ebay with the adapter installed. they have tons of options in the $80 range, just not sure which one . Ping Tour 75 gr Aldila Rogue Elite Blue Fujikura Atmos Black MITSUBISHI TENSEI ORANGE CK Are some I looked at, then found this guy who seems to have every shaft imaginable: https://www.ebay.com/itm/333917342493?_trkparms=ispr%3D1&hash=item4dbf064b1d:g:D0AAAOSwDF5gItO1&amdata=enc%3AAQAFAAACgBaobrjLl8XobRIiIML1V4Imu%252Fn%252BzU5L90Z278x5ickkCrLl8erj3ATP5raQxjc%252F%252B9BeyEGcfqpEJ9aoih%252F%252BZu3PqI49eOgetjhOYNIAlpfSsycMN7mrB0RHiK4jkIB9saUuCOOeWKeNF3Tof7CjN4yi9h9Qx1nvZCVog1C9HVkqB1fkaDDZQY1HLQsogeL5bKRnAqjT8seROuAjbqeig6Q7gueawRewwH0MDTifgGO99hD%252Bletov1gqM%252FsTVHdpFK72Y9V3l348RlO%252FAfr36qhBxbmSRBJMqGllMvlyBesx%252F74F70Tr7nVrGi4fRKh7BteM8wKwt4G2efPSkdxLW0Aj2ODkgEp7jcyR704wR%252B8WNFzIwu8SAeJz%252BoK1P5mPZG4G5JW7Jltt9Q5bnzRQJOO4hOse9GpuIzXOY6ffhKUmaUDBHXY3vJLfKS%252BkGvrtojxDAZP%252F3Ns%252BT%252BPF2oIbH%252F2O%252F6TcN6NJKktV2F8SpDZipsgZFo2BPmKWSFzjtgmvyIP4%252F5n7unRHvIixKQoFx7fjZ81A%252B%252BVkBJLBVLBi7ZW2Dk1F1MRI6%252FWJgsEUnI4Aeoz6cgZqv%252F4iiMH7Iby%252B9Mko4HwUdDuiFFYvx4mN8T%252FmeNUwxBQKtgzgi8Ipng3wD%252F%252FaG1XBPPp7n4QUFhadNztB3Oe0nf%252F0wksQXvE%252Fsr%252BsxubUofwdTVtwJ6NhHYlzewVy%252F4MCIsu9ha3NGKEoq%252FRWGp8IrnM%252BmwDQbE0BRt2C4LoAyHzd2uicqbfOpbWgg%252BUm4SgbSKIyGVuKiQi6dfAadYkoqrIap4Dc3ZeL0CppnEkYnWH13ZzTwqfTQzKfOCLyul61eqBmhYPl7uHbjWg%253D%7Ccksum%3A3339173424930de57ce14a014f9cbeadd25b676b99dc%7Campid%3APL_CLK%7Cclp%3A2334524 Any of these a little more tip stable than the stock Ping Alta CB? Oops edit to add he doesn't have that many in R flex, tons in stiff. I hear good things about the Ping Tour?
LogicalOne garyt1957 Maybe another one to throw into the mix? https://www.ebay.com/itm/HOUSE-OF-FORGED-Prototype-65-REGULAR-flex-shaft-w-PING-G-G30-G400-adapter-/264938181306?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286
shokosugi If you have the means, just tip your current shaft an inch, then extend it an inch, especially if you like it but want it a bit stiffer
garyt1957 shokosugi If you have the means, just tip your current shaft an inch, then extend it an inch, especially if you like it but want it a bit stiffer Thought about that but then I can't sell it if it doesn't work. Well, I could I guess as who would know but me?
LBlack14 garyt1957 Thought about that but then I can't sell it if it doesn't work. Well, I could I guess as who would know but me? "For sale, tipped 1" ", what's the problem?
garyt1957 Just ordered a Ping Tour R shaft for $75. Got good reviews and everyone says it will do what I want it to do, fight the hook I get with the Alta CB. We'll see.
sdandrea1 I'm getting pretty much the same results on my G400 SFT with the stock Alta CB and the UST Mamiya MP5. Could be due to my gayazz geezer non-loading swing.
shokosugi LBlack14 I agree lol. I've never had trouble selling stuff that I've tipped. Lots of people are in between flexes or want to experiment with stuff that's a bit stiffer. Just advertise that you tipped the shaft to lower your ball flight and spin as well as decrease your dispersion- most people want those things š
