This thing is ugly interesting. I'd have trouble carrying the thing without some kind of mask. Oh, wait a minute; this may be the time to try this thing out!
I have a Cleveland Niblick downstairs. I don't carry it anymore because the Poon wore off it. But when I first got it, it was money from all over the ball park. You can swing that thing with a full swing and hit high, soft shots. Or you can do little running pitches from tight lies. It's a great club.
This Pyramid thing looks similar, but with a couple of attractive features:
- I like the grooves on the sole. I understand that really helps with the ground interaction in different lies: rough and tight lies.
- I like the higher top line over the striking area. I found it was easy to get under or hit really high shots with the Niblick on full swings. This may help.
- The alignment lines aren't bad. I think they'd be particularly interesting around the greens.
As I say; ugly interesting.
And, BTW, FauxAmish, haven't you heard of Pyramid Power? I think it won some hockey team the cup back in the 70s, right around when mood rings were out, if I recall. 🙂
