Has anyone installed a belly putter type grip with air? This is a basic Winn wrap, not the big blocky ones, 17 inches long. I've installed regular length Winn putter grips of this style with air easily. Just thought I'd ask first though.

I have. The tape (I use masking) goes down lower and I just did it the same way as all the rest of my grips. Lube it up with grip solvent, get the grip on a little ways, blow it on the rest of the way. Wasn't any trouble for me.

It's the ONLY way I could easily get a long grip on, yes.

I should have said that I will be using masking tape, not slippery grip tape. Like Hoss does.

Just food for thought.....other than covering the butt end of the shaft, I don't use ANY tape.

I blew on a couple with just masking tape without issue. Think I still have 2 long Winn grips as I didn't care for them and blew them back off.

sdandrea1 .other than covering the butt end of the shaft, I don't use ANY tape.

Stupid question, why cover the butt end of the grip? Is that to help the grip get over the butt end of the shaft? Or to avoid pressurizing the shaft itself?

Yes, especially with Winn and Super Stroke grips, or any grip with an underlining tube. Much easier to get them started. I tape about an inch down the shaft.
