customgolfcenter Golf has skyrocketed in popularity this past year and as a result manufacturing has very much become a "sellers market", where those who are paying top dollar to get their stuff manufactured get done first while the rest get pushed aside or even refused.
This is visibly not true as ALL OEMs are having difficulty filling orders. There is much more to the story, no doubt.
As they always say....paybacks are hell. Try to hurt me, I can hurt you much worse. IYKWIM
Companies better have already started looking to other countries that have capabilities of filling these orders.
I was in my local store the other day and he is just about to go under, from what I saw there. I don't know how much longer he will wait it out, but he had no grips, no heads, limited supply of shafts and brands. He has sets of heads with 1 or 2 missing, as he took what he could get, and they have been on back order since a year ago; I know this because I tried to buy the heads then. I think customers have stopped going in because they know he has nothing. He does have some complete sets that I took to him, but they are just sitting there, at cheap prices. I made a couple suggestions about other possible vendors, and I do hope he follows up on them. Hate to see him close up after 25 yrs. in 1 place. And he is far too young for retirement.
