I'm a big believer in intangibles in life but particularly in sport.
UCLA vs. Baylor would've been a much better title game.
No way Gonzaga could possibly have the swagger they had prior to letting an 11th seeded play-in team take them to OT and almost beat them. It not only affected Gonzaga, but Baylor, too.
Baylor saw that a play-in team took this "Goliath" to OT. They had to be licking their chops for a chance to take them down believing they were their equal BEFORE the UCLA game. After Baylor saw what UCLA did, it had to give them tons of confidence that they otherwise wouldn't have had, if they'd not seen what UCLA accomplished. UCLA exposed some cracks in the dam and Baylor hammered them into gaping holes.
BTW, how is your knee?
