I always have the sole of the driver touching the ground, Waggle, contacting again ( not completely dropping the club head onto the ground ) before I start the motion of back swing. I could not understand why other golfers hoover the head inches above the ground.
Touching the ground with the golf club head is not to rest the head on the ground, muscle memory of returning the club head to the same spot as close to impact position as possible is important for me.
The only time I would hoover the driver head off the ground is when I use extra long tee.
