It's obviously a different tournament this year. But when I look back at where we were most of last year, with several months of little-to-no sports whatsoever, I'm quite happy to have the option to watch or not watch today.
And although I probably won't get into it like I have in years past, I still am thankful that a lot of kids who've worked incredibly hard have the opportunity to play. Yeah, it sucks if something happens that a positive test derails the season for a few teams, but that shouldn't take away from the spirit of competition for every other team that remains eligible to play.
This will be the only big stage many of these kids will ever get to be on, and that should be celebrated.
