I agree that they will and it will not be because of any political party. It'll be because of randomness. The boom happened to fall during a certain administration and that admin will be reactive just like any of them would've been.
My plea was for any of them to have been proactive.
@Ack8236 I'm glad we're not on the federal grid. An EMP directed at DC will knock all of you out but Texas will be independent of it. Sure, I hate what happened in the strongest terms, but I'm glad the grid is separate. The issue isn't that the grid is separate, it's that it wasn't winterized.
We hear talk of secession every once in awhile. Nice knowing that if we chose that path, we have our own grid. Nobody else could as easily pull out of the union due to the limiting power grid issue.
