Rickochet I actually contacted TSA when I realized I had to fly and my license had just expired and they advised I "might" be able to fly if I got to the airport really early and had other forms of ID (credit card, bills in my name, etc).
So I get to the airport really early, go to TSA security and they wave me through in a few seconds saying "yeah your license will work for a year after expiration". WTF?! Maybe partly because I have a KTN and I've had the special DL for years? I dunno, but I had a LOT of extra time at the airport!
