It's a stupid thing, but I came of age during a time when electric shavers and bic razors became popular. My mother gave me a Norelco electric for my thirteenth or fourteenth birthday. I used it for years, but then switched to plastic disposables just because they're faster. Today is the first time I've ever used an old timey double-edged safety razor. In these work from home times I often go days between shaves and the long stubble just clogs up the disposible razors and so I ordered a Viking safety razor and blades so I can unclog it easily. Tried it out this morning. Not much different in the use, but definitely rougher on the skin. I probably have a bit to learn on setting the correct angle.
