Yeah, big risk buying a used one. How do you know if it's real or fake? The fact is you don't. The only way I'd buy a used one is if it came with a receipt for the store where it was purchased.

Basically, the only way to know is by taking it apart, removing the grip and weighing the shaft. Fakes don’t use the heavy Accra shafts. At least that has been my experience.
Even with all of this, if it walks like a duck….
There seems to he no difference in performance with most of the fakes.

I get it.... My brother in law would never spend $500 on a putter. He plays an old tech John Reuter's Bullseye from 50-60 years ago. He'll spent over $50,000 on a new Ford Electric Truck though.

Me, I have $500 putter, but drive a 2008 Hyundai Elantra that cost me $15,000. lol Whatever makes you sleep better at night.
