While one can make a compelling case for KB to play, the fact that only one man ( Arnie) has served both roles and it was over 60 years ago, is a testament to it not being a popular idea.
Personally, as a Team Euro supporter in this event, I would welcome it as for me it would be another distraction ( media and otherwise) to the already busy and stressful job of being Captain.
IMO, the odds are 30/70. Cantaly is a lock now and I dont think Bradley choosing Young or Burns instead of himself will make any difference to what transpires on the course. Also, how many times will Bradley play if he picks himself, once or twice ....not worth it, IMO.
That said, Keegan brings energy, enthusiasm and swagger so him playing would add to the theatre which I would welcome
