mikeintopeka We have seen that people who become infected with the virus can test positive, sometimes iintermittently, for weeks to even months. We don't consider people to be actually infected or contagious in this situation. The test is a PCR that assays for small portions of the viral genome. A positive test does not necessarily indicate active infection.
I think Rahm is getting screwed by an inflexible policy that is not based on actually analyzing the individual situation.

I realize he was tested outside the venue, but over 100 have tested positive since being there. If the top qualifiers in every event were to be found positive........... 🤔

Just a scenario, not making accusations. The possibility is now real.

Maybe there is some truth to the conspiracy theory regarding that the current PCR tests can't really differentiate between the flu and covid and this is the reason the CDC is switching to a different test at the end of the year. In any case I'm guessing his first covid tests must've been false positives as it would seem highly unlikely that both natural and vaccine antibodies didn't provide protection from infection.

This article was sent to me, and it has a link to the full complaint. While I have not made it through the whole complaint, the bottom of page 4 starts in on the PCR tests, how they are not reliable for detecting COVID-19 and how the manufacturer include insert disclaimers with the tests that state the PCR tests should NOT be used to diagnose COVID-19.

shokosugi I can assure you that the PCR for Covid 19 definitely does not trip positive because of the flu.
What I am saying is that people who get infected with the virus can test positive for a long time thereafter. The test doesnt prove contagion, as it is not an assay for replication-competent virus.

Not only will this go nowhere, but the vaccines will be fully approved by sometime this fall, in all likelihood.

One more thing, if the test doesn't prove contagion, is it still necessary to treat everyone like they are contagious? Is there no other way to do things?

Sure sounds like it. While they may have some valid points, when they refer to covid as the CCP virus, they lose credibility quickly.

rsvman2 while it might be utter garbage, it does bring up some interesting information. Referring to the inventor of the PCR tests not endorsing them for diagnosis of COVID-19. Not to mention the asymptomatic spread, that doesn't drive outbreaks, to fact that healthy person's have been forced to lockdown and self quarantine so that don't get sick. I personally really don't believe that this pandemic is about a virus (not saying that the virus doesn't exist or is not a problem), but more about getting control over a population.

While I don't really believe in the controlling the population narrative, I do feel something is not right with everything but I can't put my finger on it. Something has been wrong from the start and something is just off with these vaccines- just feels like we're missing information or something is not being said. It sounds crazy but to to me it's similar to the Matrix movie, I sense something is not right but it don't know what it is. I need to find Morpheus lol!

What’s not right is vaccines becoming a political issue. What’s not right is so many people being anti science.

I thought when the autism links to vaccines were debunked that would be the end of this nonsense.

If people don’t come to their senses and get vaccinated then we may never get out of this pandemic.

The fact that people choose the possibility of getting Covid over getting vaccinated is insane.

The NFL will fine unvaccinated players over $14,000 who break Covid protocols. Like to see all sports do the same.
