Modern resistance golf swings that produce torque and massive club head speed produce hard on the body outcomes.
I don't remember the old timers (right handers) that lifted their left heel on takeaway with so many lower body (knees, hips, back) physical issues. The reverse C move injured some no doubt. Slammin' Sammy played well into his late 60's competitively. It says a lot about the modern golf swing and resulting physical ailments.
The one modern younger player Scheffler doesn't have his feet planted it seems so maybe he can avoid these issues unsure. DeChambeau certainly has felt the effects as well as many others on down the line.
Phil lost some weight but I don't see him pumping iron like the newer young player. You can be in shape but not over do it. Tiger and his Seal training sheesh.
