▶ I use the 2017 version of the Titleist Pro V1. This gives me the launch and spin I want. The red dot helps identify my ball in the rough (or tree) ! 🤣

Using binoculars, the chief referee was satisfied that a ball with those markings was lodged in the tree. The player subsequently took an unplayable penalty drop (Rule 19.2c) at the point directly below the ball on the ground. To clarify, the player was not asked to specify the tree but to identify his distinctive ball markings to confirm it was his ball.”

Opinion: That rule is bullshit in the 1st place as it is a 2 shot penalty if ball is not identified. Stroke/Distance=2 shots. No matter how you cut it.

Not that I am a "Table for One" fan, my understanding is that the Referee asked him how he marked his ball prior to looking in the tree with a pair of binos...Reed never looked in the tree prior to the Referee spotting "his" ball in the tree with those markings. Too many people are making a mountain out of a molehill because it is Reed...

Well, one way is to hit a shot and then spend 2 minutes bitching about it instead of marking your ball and GTF outta the way.
