My guess is that is likely the case. I would think that the golf channel would offer to shelve the vendetta if they could avoid the legal bs. Doubt they really want to spend the money defending the right to grind on Patrick.

johnnydoom It's not really The Golf Channel. It is NBC Sports Group/Comcast; owner of TGC. Might have the money. Might have the time. Reed is not attacking just some small TV station. imo, there will be a fight to the finish; I'd be very surprised if not.

And like I said about Reed, Chamblee may well be eliminated after it's all over. Getting rid of the 'distraction'. He surely does not have the popularity to hang on.

Par4QC You may very well be right. I'm inclined to think even the NBC empire will not want to spend the money fighting something that can't really generate a whole lot of revenue, unless there are underlying connections like their alliance with the PGA Tour.

I don't see Chamblee talking about Reed much anymore anyway since Reed is playing in the equivalent of Siberia. lol And as far as I know the Golf Channel doesn't cover tournaments played in obscure places like Siberia. 😏

The fellas on the PGA Tour, the hardcores that are mouthy, need to take a good look at what Norman has done for them. imo, he has done more for them than his LIV players, the last few months. Shit-tons of money now coming their way that would have never happened before LIV. Never! Disrupting the history of golf?....I think not, he's only added to it. And given all PGA members the upper hand in any/all future dealings with Monahan and Co.. Balls are being squeezed, and not gently. And it is by Norman's hand. ALL Pro golfers are profiting from it.
Who is the real 'devil'?

Don't get me wrong. I like watching golf on TV. On TV.....not my PC. So, I'll continue to watch the PGA when I can, and enjoy it the same as I did the last +55 years. Also will not miss those that are gone. Esp. some that are gone. Tons of great golfers out there still, and it is now even more competitive. And no names will soon become big names.

Norman did well, and imo, he knows exactly what he's doing and what he truly intended to accomplish. It is being done. For the good of all golf.

Hell I'm happy to win a $30-40 skin in league play, these guys are in a whole other golfing universe!

Spuzz Yes. And he is just adding to his legacy as a promoter of professional golf worldwide, by getting all players more income. He has shown where the real 'integrity' is coming from.
