It's 22* here. That wouldn't be so bad if our heater wasn't on the fritz. It's 55 degrees on the thermostat, but it's the coldest 55 I've ever felt.
Ran out to get some space heaters and they're all sold out. Even Prime can't get them here until the 17th due to "weather in your area". Winter storm coming and no heat and ONE space heater.
Freezing drizzle tomorrow. Hoping we can get our guy who lives in the neighborhood over here tomorrow with sub-zero lows coming on Monday. Could be a fun week and old time living. Kids love it. It doesn't bother me, but the wife is bothered by it enough for all of us.
Those poorly protected pipes in Texas may burst. Going to do my best to cover the one out at the meter that runs to the house and the ones in from the water heater. Can't believe it's going to be like this. I think the lowest I've felt here is 10*.
EDIT: Just went through historical lows. 14* in Dallas is the lowest since we've been here, but we're outside Dallas and a few degrees cooler.
