74 (3 over) at Fox Hollow 🦊. Had 1 birdie. Went off the back 9 first and hit some really great solid iron shots. As good as it can get (shot even par 36 / par 71).
First hole hit a nice drive and had 140 to the pin. Hit an 8 iron to the back of the green. Had ~ 10 feet for birdie. Not to be. lol Then it was off to the races.
Several other great iron shots. The stand out was on # 13. Had 163 to the back pin. Hit my 6 iron pin high. Missed the ~ 10 footer for birdie (of course). lol
When you hit your irons this good, it’s as good as it gets for me. If I had to pick the best iron in the bag today it would be the pitching wedge. Just stellar.
If I could putt, I may have shot under par (best ‘evah’ was a par 71 on this course). Finally went with the (Jordan Spieth) looking at the hole on putts inside ~ 8 feet.
Don’t know why I don’t do that all the time. 🙄
