Don’t beat yourself up. If you can hit it toward a pin on command that ain’t too shabby. Long and short is easier to correct than wide right or left.

I always tell my playing partners when they have a tree in their way to try and hit the tree. If they hit it feel good about that you hit your target. lol

95 percent of the time they miss the tree including me. But if you try to avoid the tree you seem to hit it more often. lol

Scraped out 42 + 41 for 83. Struggled with the driver and putter today. Had a birdie but no skin. Won money in my group and won the Pal.

Been playing awful trying the "easiest swing" to save my back. Ditched it today for the Gary Edwin RSS and shot a 78. Back didn't hurt either. Win/ win

Drove it like poo, but mid iron game was sharp, stuck a number of 7 and 5 irons today that gave me birdie looks.

Putter was also decent, 28 with a 3 putt

Weirfan Goes to show that irons are more important than driver. Same thing happens with me… I can be killing driver and pulling irons nowhere near my target. But I can hit it like crap off the tee but groove irons to makeable birdie range.

I shot 37-38-75 today at Detwiler Park GC in Toledo. Course in great shape, and the greens were the fastest
I've played all year, probably due to the dry conditions we've been experiencing for the last 2-3 weeks.
11 GIR / 31 putts / 6 for 7 Up & Downs.

Shot 43/45 in the senior league. Driver was inconsistent and iron play was lousy, but my short game was decent. I only had 3 gir but avoided blowup holes and made a lot of bogeys. Today the scores were low overall, so my net 73 was two strokes out of the money.

77 at Fox Hollow (par 71). Had 5 birdies.😮⛳️🏌️Strange round with 5 birdies, 4 pars, 7 bogeys and 2 doubles.

I was sorta done playing but the day job has been so sucky I said screw it and worked a little this morning but made it back for 9 holes before the pro shop job. Hadn’t played for a couple weeks but hit it good. 9/9 GIR, par 34 shot 30. Missed a few putts I was hoping to make. Hit a few shots that I thought should have checked up better but didn’t.

Putting was my problem. Read the greens like Helen Keller.

I had my little course all to myself today. Nobody was out, then again it was supposed to rain, with a chance of lightning and thunder last night and today. All it really did was mist and a light drizzle, and be cloudy all day.
I played 2 balls every hole. One was still showing my dotted markings and the other one was not. Ball one went par, par bogey, par, birdie, bogey, par, par, bogey. For 2 over.
Ball two went bogey, par, bogey, par, birdie, bogey, birdie, double bogey, bogey. For 4 over.
Even playing 2 balls every hole, I was still done with all 9 holes in about 45 minutes.

Today I got plugged into 2 scrambles 🤬. Hoping I was done. I killed it at the range today and was happy to be done…. But no😪. One next Wednesday and the following Monday.

Played in a charity scramble last Friday. I knew we had no chance of winning and went with it before we even teed off. Me, an 11 handicap was the "A" player in the group. I had so much fun!! We had at least 1 guy have a decent drive on 80% of the holes. I was batting cleanup and got to take big rips with a 75 % success rate!!! We shot a -6 using 65% of my shots. One of our players had no business being on a golf course. His putting was so bad. He set up with a pull stance AND swing but somehow managed to hit a squiggly ass "laces out" wide right putt that was sometimes short and other times long. WOW. Anyway, Guinness is a wonderful substitute for coffee at 7am when you are in for a 5.5 hour shit show.

Mattyv Seems like unless you put your own team together you end up with at least one person who doesn’t belong on a course. Makes the 5.5 hour round even worse.
