garyt1957 I used to do that when I first started wearing glasses. Maybe for two to three years. But then my eyes got so bad I couldn't do it again.
I don't have a really strong prescription so it may be easier for me to not use the glasses. It definitely helps me on the shorter putts to NOT wear them. At times I will have a really long putt and I will keep my glasses on.
I like wearing my Oakleys as it's easier to look under the lenses when looking at the ball. At close range my glasses distort my vision. I can tell because if I put a tee in the ground with my glasses on and it looks straight, I'll realize it's actually crooked with my glasses off.
It depends on how my eyes are that day as well. If I haven't been on the computer a lot my vision seems to improve significantly. Other days my eyes are really tired and I could probably use a stronger prescription.
Probably the best golf lesson I had was some putting lessons 6-7 years ago after a fitting. Ended up with a longer putter and some good practice drills. I think the instructor may have ruined the bad but manageable swing I had, but he did improve my putting lol.
