Yesterday, seniors league match. Dismal away form continues (lost 4-0) although 3 of the losses were by 2&1, including my match.
Played against a 72 year old with a 3 handicap, and it showed. Educational and awesome to watch, he shot 74 to par of 71 so bang on HC. There was never more than one hole in it until we lost 16 and I left a hanger on 17 to take it down 18 ... one of many putts that hung on the lip or burned the edge of the hole.
Post match meal, drinks and conversation about our golfing "history", turns out the 3 'capper used to caddy at Loch Lomond - the one only wealthy get to play - and got to practice there regularly. Why? Because he was on the European Seniors Tour at the time ...
