So this was the #1 day in my life for staying on the golf course. 7:20 tee time hitting straight into a thick bank of fog. It's a cool feeling if you ask me. Shot a 49-40 @ Oceanside Municiple golf course. $47 was a steal of a deal for this course. I was expecting easy ass muni course and instead get 18 holes of 130 slope golf course. Very underrated golf course and I am glad I got to play it in 4:15.
After the morning round we make the 10 minute drive to Arrowwood Golf Club because we had a 2pm tee time and wanted some lunch. A friend informed us that the course had really good food. I ordered the tri-tip sandwich and fries and I have no regrets. Better than that was the pizza and calzones my brother and buddy ordered. ARROWWOOD GOLF CLUB is the winner for best golf course restaurant ever. Got here at noon and teeing off at 2pm.
Afternoon round results in an ugly 96. A pissed off greens keeper set the back nine up to play 1 hr longer than the front nine. Who cares about the score. This is a phenomenal golf course. The closing 4 holes will rip your soul apart. They are so awesome looking but really really hard. 17th hole playing from the blue tees 442 par 4 into an island green. Good luck going into that green. This is a must play for anyone in the San Diego area and a steal for $90.
Food and beer were so good at lunch that we stayed for dinner and more beer. Plus there was a live band playing 80's and 90's cover songs and playing them well. I split a pizza with my brother and we listened to the band until 10pm. Beers were flowing and I got my little brother drunk for my first time at his age of 40.π€£ This was a top 10 favorite days ever.
PS: Drove the green on the short par 4 6th hole. 250 yards, i hit a controlled hard drive to the middle of the green that left a crater and rolled 4 feet. Stupid 3 putt par.π€¬
