LBlack14 never heard of it before, then again, I'm too busy driving most days to bother with a beer/ alcohol. When I do drink it's either a Sam Adams, or maybe a Corona (or whatever they call themselves now).

When my father died they gave me the old bag he used in high school and new golf clubs as well as the set that belonged to my grandfather who passed in 1961. The new bag and set was a retirement gift that he never used and gave that to my BIL. The two old i kept and have on display.... have the canvas bags and hickory shafted clubs etc, pretty cool. In there were a bunch of old golf balls. several wer new and individually wrapped in blue cellophane , I forget the brand but 2 ended up in the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame on display and the rest I sold to a collector for something like $15 a ball. I have a few new in box dozen balls that arent as old but still from the late 60's and early 70's. I dont think they are worth much.

Ended up finding a buyer for my whole case of 12 dozen balls. The person owns a vintage, antique and collectables store that deals in most all sports items and trading cards. Sold them for $575.00 shipped. Not too bad considering that I had bought 2 cases plus some dozens that were price marked and some loose sleeves years ago for all the cash I had on me at the time. I think it was about $47.00. Just got delivered today according to tracking.

Supposedly, at one time, Ben Hogan preferred them to the MacGregor Tourney when he was on the
MacGregor staff in the 40's and 50's. I played them when I started working in a pro shop b/c the
pro was on Spalding's staff, and got them cheaper than he could get Titleists!

They are all stored away in cases. So much stuff, there are days that I hope for a fire. hahaha
