I have been buying used equipment for many years. About 10 or so years ago I picked up a used compound bow, never had a problem with it and it shot really well for me. I just picked up a set of used Callaway irons, 3 wood, and a palmer driver, so far it has been working for me. Although, I have been told that I really should pick up a newer driver that should work better for me. When I do, it will be used. I'm not much on buying brand new equipment when used works just fine. So what if I can't hit the ball as far as someone who has the money to buy new clubs every year. Can that guy hit as far as say Bubba Watson, how about Kyle Berkshire?? What do I really need new clubs for if I might gain only 15 yards? I'm not sure that the cost of new clubs is all that worth it to me.
If you are more than happy to spend money on new clubs every year for a possible 15-20 yards? I'm happy for you. Will I be jealous? Maybe a little (be nice to have the money to spare), would probably prefer to take a few hits with them and try them.
