sdandrea1 All 3 are female. One is promised to a buyer in England. If the other two are show quality (we'll know at 12 weeks), we're out because the breeder will keep them. If one is not quite "perfect", we'll get her!
Toulon sdandrea1 I was researching some golf equipment last night and came across a pic of you on WRX with a dog. Is that the mother? BTW, you were asking someone if they wanted to sell their BeCu Ping Eyes. I thought you had a shot until you tried getting them for 12 shipped. This was 2017. You were high rollin' then. π
Rickochet Too cute. I thought that you were already locked in for one? Just tell him you will take "ugly" one on the right and promise to give it a good home. I would be heart broken if I thought I was getting one of those little girls and it fell through.
sdandrea1 Rickochet I thought that you were already locked in for one? So did I. Turns out we're guaranteed IF there is a "pet quality" pup in the litter. This breeder is a competitive show breeder and sells only her pet quality pups or swaps show quality pups for champion sire sperm.
sdandrea1 Rickochet I would be heart broken if I thought I was getting one of those little girls and it fell through. The breeder keeps sending us pictures, so I have a feeling we're going to get one.
Rickochet sdandrea1 So did I. Maybe you need to send Landon down to make her an offer she can't refuse. π Anywho, best of luck. And if this works out perhaps consider naming her Lucky. π
letthebigdogshunt sdandrea1 Steve tell the breeder that you will give up some of your champion sperm in a trade for one of those gorgeous puppies.
sdandrea1 Rickochet She's going to be "Sophie", a family name. Fingers crossed. We should know by mid February.
Walterjn My boss ended up with two puppies; she was locked in to get a pet quality puppy mid December, when she came across another puppy who would be delivered from Idaho the end of November. She jumped on the one from Idaho, mid December rolls around and the breeder asked her if she still wanted the one she was locked in for & she said yes. Good thing too, that one is an absolute sweetheart of a puppy. He is more than content to let you pick him up and let you carry him around.
brownmoose13 The secret is out. Now I know why my wife keeps me around....I must be show quality otherwise I would be gone. Boy I can sleep better tonight!
sdandrea1 brownmoose13 The secret is out. Now I know why my wife keeps me around....I must be show quality otherwise I would be gone. Boy I can sleep better tonight! Our wives have too much invested in breaking us in. That's why they keep us. If we were show quality, they'd take us places with them.
sdandrea1 Typhoon Keeping my fingers crossed that one has a droopy eye!!π You'd be shocked at what disqualifies a pup. Our last boxer was sold as a pet (vs show dog) because her nose was 1/4" too long. The breeder said she was "hideous". 1/4" on a 75 pound boxer? I couldn't spot that defect with a magnifying glass.
Typhoon My wife was just considering taking in a 9 year old Husky whose owner died. Not gonna happen though, she found out the guy was a prick. That would have made 5 dogs, worst part is right now I have 3 that are 10-11 years old and one thatβs 5.
Rickochet Typhoon That would have made 5 dogs, worst part is right now I have 3 that are 10-11 years old and one thatβs 5. That would also up the poop volume by 20%.
KCee backinit 5 dogs? I will not even do 3. I love animals, but I don't even want a 2nd dog. Our previous dog was about the best dog you could ask for, but a few months after he passed we got a rescue and he is about the worst dog you could ask for lol. For some reason my wife wants another, but I finally won an argument.
backinit KCee We have an almost 12 year old rescue..got her at 7.5 years old. What a head case. I know think she is getting a little senile. She went after the puppy last night. Overall a sweet girl, but the shit we have been through with her is crazy. No more middle aged rescues for me.
Sparky Some friends of ours have begun fostering dogs waiting for new homes. The 1st one they loved, so they adopted him. They got foster #2 a couple of days ago. Unfortunately, #2 attacked and killed their 12 year old Parakeet. Enjoy your new puppy! π
