Pebble Beach tourney with no amateurs

I read on WRX that this year will be pros only. I am on board with that.

DonM If it means NO Chris Berman or Bill Murray, then I'm all for it. Berman was a total
hack, and IMO Murray's act has gotten old, after years of it. I usually only watched the Pebble Beach
Pro Am when the "Ams" were done (on Sunday), and it was "Pros" only.

It was more of a tradition than entertainment to have celebs,
but Bill Murray DID do some crazy stuff at times.
I'm sure some/most of the pro's felt a certain amount of distraction from
their actual day jobs.

Hmm, would they be willing to do one WITH celebs/ amateurs? Maybe a good charity event? Be nice to watch BFM and the pros have some fun.

Walterjn - I read that there is a one-day charity event with the amateurs being held earlier in the week. There's too much money that would be left on the table to scrap everything.

They should sponsor Golfbuzzers to the event. Imagine how TV-ratings-worthy THAT would be. 😆
