Anything New In Fairway Shafts?

One of my winter projects is to dust off my collection of Super Concorde fairway heads and reshaft them with something new. I haven't used them in years but with my iron distances dropping I wanted to try them out again since I have the 5, 7, 9, 11 & 13 heads. I haven't purchased fairway wood shafts in years so I was wondering if there was anything new out there to try that won't break the bank. I actually wouldn't mind trying some steel shafts but I am seeing very little available in .335. I see a few TT offerings maybe Dynalite Gold and a uniflex model but not much else. Any suggestions for this geezer would be appreciated. I need something in an R or Senior flex.

Rickochet I have some sparkly New Image Red Steel in A flex but they are heavy sons of guns. About 125 g/46" IIRC. Yours for shipping if you want them.

Of course, while these shafts are in new condition, they were released at least 15 years ago. 😀

ive got some old R flex true temper steel shafts in my shop. I think they were called Tri gold? They have just one step or two towards the bottom of the shaft. I’ll check what I’ve got when I get home if you’re interested?

Rickochet Checked through my emails, the seller stated:

  _There is no tip trimming for a driver, .50" for a 3 wood, 1.00" for a 5 wood, 1.50" for a 7 wood._

I must further correct the info above - it is more like 133-135 g and 45" and there is at least 10" of parallel tip.

That said, I have 6 (or 7) of these so you could have a few to experiment with.

The 7th shaft is buried inside an 0.370" putter shaft (don't ask). Any ideas on how to separate them? 🤔

I think I may still have some steel .335 shafts laying around. I will try to take a look this weekend. I was using steel in my fairways until 6-7 years ago.....maybe should go back to it. I always liked the Wishon steel wood shaft and Nippon had a nice one as well.

I’ve got 2 of those Tri gold shafts. The picture with the steps and the Tri Gold logo are the only steps in the shaft. Otherwise they are stepless and 113 grams
