I painted my old 240Z....85 Vette bronze and didn't realize there's a light and a dark.
The dark looked like a metallic turd!
Btw ,if you've never squirted a car before, it's a LOT of work....prepping/masking takes a while to do it right.
And changing colors is even more of an issue, door jams, engine compartment ,deck lid etc....weather strips
should all be removed, any trim moldings, lights etc.
I'd use a good HVLP gun and practice on an old fender or something until you can get some good passes,
overlap and NO runs.
It's a lot harder than you think!
