Subsonic yeah it’s great, charge $500k in advance to be a vendor, don’t hold the show, then tell everyone, you want to assume no risk in the issue, so you won’t refund them the money they fronted you so your coordinations could come together. Meanwhile, the venue gets cancelled, gets paid next to nothing for sitting empty, all the promotions get cancelled and you pay the people that did those on a deliverable contract, nothing. You turn around and spend one vendor worth of money on a slapped together virtual platform and send out a bunch of emails and tweets with another vendors money. So now the poor show coordinators are only left with 25 Million in profit in the bank account, while the manufacturers get 200 people to see the same shit in their website, at a nice 10k+ per view basis.
You are right, from the perspective of these shitty show coordinator companies “do something” is the right choice. Tell them to go F themselves is the right choice on “virtual trade shows” for the manufacturer’s.
