mulegolf it seems no time at all before I have to do it all over again for Christmas.
Our neighborhood has slowed down on the traditional decoration for Christmas. The live Christmas trees were not selling like they were a few decades ago. Even the artificial trees were not put up like they were used to be displayed in the Windows. Christmas lights were spotty . I saw a flier for putting up the lights and taking them down for $450 ( limited SF. and one story, add more if on a larger house with 2 stories......).
I had been told not to climb ladders after my last injury ( order from the wife ), so I probably won't put up the Christmas lights besides in the lower bush and shrub . Not sure if I want a 7' noble fir either. Way too much work when kids had grown out of Santa Claus.
If I'm still around in 50 years ( which I'm certain I won't be because they say the top limit of a human lifespan is about 125 years, unless they hurry up on the organ farming technique ), everything would be different. No one stays at home during the Holidays, everyone would be packed in some resort somewhere else.
