imo, it's not about yards gained, it's about repeatable performance, even though your swing very well may not be repeatable. ๐Meaning, if you swing to go into the woods, these shafts will give you a much straighter line for doing so. OTOH, if you swing for the middle of the FW, it's where you will end up. They aren't going to wobble and wander all over the place during your swing. A shaft may only gain you yards when it helps you stay in the FW; but your swing will determine most of that. You swing bad, no shaft is going to make the ball come back to the FW, of course.
These are mid bend, medium tip shafts, and very stable, even with the (supposed)4.0 torque. A lot of shafts are described this way, but I've yet to find another that holds the truth. I've only ever had but 1 bad HOF shaft, and still got that sucker. Souvenir.
