garyt1957 That’s a pretty fair point. Really need to know “how likely am I to make this shot?” “Is it worth it?”
Funny aside, I’m not a course manager, it’s not fun to me, but I played a few weeks back, got to the tee and realized I only had 2 or 3 balls with me, on a course that’s notorious for eating them. I played not to lose them, had the best scoring round I have had in about 12 years by using that simple formula of “how likely am I to lose it if I take that shot?” I did lose 1 on misjudgment and that jacked up the round from being really good, but the rest of the holes were so much better it covered the mistakes. I actually hit a shot too far and chased it into the woods, I had backed down, but somehow managed to hit one too crisp and killed myself.
