I've heard stuff takes a while to get now. When I got my new Mavrik fairway I bought a demo on discount. They said a new one would take at least a few weeks. I demoed some of the new TM irons and the fitter said they had no clue when they could get those.

I ordered a custom built set of Taylormade irons, 3 1/2 weeks ago. It showed they would ship in 7 days. Finally called them last week and was told they were back ordered, yet they had given me no notice at all. Order cancelled.

Good thing I have a garage full of golf crap and don't need anything for a long time

Sounds like a price increase.

I have been tinkering with components for almost 20 years. Getting the Golfsmith Builders catalog and the Hireko catalog was like Christmas. It's amazing to see what Hireko carries today compared to 15 years ago. But I guess they are doing well just by still being here offering something. So now having reduced inventory of what little they offer is sad.

Spuzz Golfsmith Builders catalog and the Dynacraft catalog

Dynacraft had the first internet golf forum I ever visited. There I was let to FGI 4GEA. I think Jim Yachinich was the Dynacraft clubmaking guru.

Same here and there was another young guy there too, with the name of Jeff I think.

        HybridWood Jackson?

        maybe...
Not sure who moderated the forum.
Pretty sure it was a young guy who ran the order desk and whatnot.
        He was a good dude.

I think he's at Golfworks now? I miss the old days of getting those catalogs from everyone. I think my wife would have preferred I just read Playboy lol.

Would've likely been a lot cheaper if you only got one magazine.

I think there were two Jeffs there.

I think Jeff Summit still works there. Jeff Jackson was also involved in designs when it was Dynacraft. He went onto powerbilt.

And Jeff Sheets fits in here somewhere. One of the Jeffs got affiliated with a small component company, maybe Tour Golf Products and also owned a driving range, maybe in Ohio.

Jackson still owns and operates a range in Granville.
              I googled.
Sheets is with Swing Science now.
              I knew that.
              lol
